We just went through what was probably the most contentious election cycle in the history of the United States. As a Trump supporter, I am well aware of his accomplishments over the last four years and to be honest with you, I was looking forward to four more years.
As I have mentioned in prior posts, I am not a big fan of the President’s tweets or the names that he calls people, but he does get things accomplished. As the election wore on, I noticed something odd and as I thought back to 2016 and even when Obama was President, it all came together.
As I sat thinking about why I would never vote for a Harris/Biden ticket, I made a long list. Higher taxes, open borders, banning fracking, depleting the military and the ongoing saga of Slow Joe taking money from his incredibly corrupt son and the influence he provided as Obama’s VP. Oh yeah, don’t forget defunding the police. These are just a few of the reasons.
During the months and days leading up to the election, I asked folks who might not agree with me on Facebook to convince me to vote for Biden. The only catch was that they couldn’t mention Trump once. Not one person took up the challenge.
I am pretty sure I know why. People on the left vote on how they feel and not on FACTS. Even in talking to people, no one ever can articulate an argument either to vote for Biden or against Trump. They immediately start with the vile invectives.
Why won’t you vote for Trump? “He’s a racist.” He’s a homophobe.” “He’s a transphobe.” “He’s a misogynist.” “He separates families and locks children in cages.” “He’s a white supremacist.” He’s a Nazi.” By the way, the Nazi one is my favorite based on AOC’s recent idea to make a list of Trump supporters so they can be held accountable for, well, being a Trump supporter. Heil AOC!!!!!
These are not reasons to vote or not vote for someone. I have not heard or read any policy issues for against a vote for either one from the left.
The bottom line here folks is you can’t cast a vote, especially for such an important position, based on your feelings. You could have when you were five, but as an adult, who undoubtedly has access to so much information at their fingertips, have no excuse. This is just being intellectually dishonest. I don’t necessarily like Slow Joe, but at the very least I can give you a multitude of reasons of why I would never have voted for him.
