Why, Santa Why?

Our country has truly taken a turn for the worse. Just when you thought that 2020 couldn’t get any more bizarre or stupid, things like this happen.

Now please let me know if I am wrong, but the job of a department store Santa, while annoying at times, is a pretty easy gig. Santa asks your kid what they want for Christmas, your kid tells him, and Santa says yes. Your kid leaves happy, you leave happy and on Christmas morning your kid is happy again when he gets that toy.

I saw a video on the internet, however, that defied even that simplicity. The video was simple. Santa was in his chair and a child was seated the lawful 6 feet away. Santa asked the question and the kid, after a couple of seconds, gave his answer. “A nerf gun.” “No, no guns,” he told the child. At this point even the kid had a shocked look on his face. He then told the kid to ask his father for the nerf gun. Of course, the poor kid started crying.

This woke idiot, who decided to impose his ridiculous beliefs on a 4-5 year old child, should have been fired. But I couldn’t find an answer to that question.

It is obvious to me that this faux Santa could not have been a parent. Why do I say that? Because this is how things work.

Starting at around Thanksgiving, or even before, your child starts asking for things for Christmas. In your infinite wisdom, you tell your child, “When we go to see Santa, you can ask him what you want for Christmas.” This is genius for parents. It almost guarantees good behavior from your kid for that month between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Every time that your child acts up, you just zap them with the old, “Santa sees everything that you do” statement and, more often than not, they stop whatever they are doing.

Christmas Day rolls around, he gets his nerf gun and everything is good with the world.

But this Santa, like most woke people, feel the need to impose their beliefs on everyone else. Nobody cares what you think. His job as a department store Santa, I thought, was too easy to screw up. But I was wrong.

By saying, “no guns,” he effectively destroyed what is potentially the only relatively sane month that a parent has to look forward to all year.

It is more than enough that we have to suffer for the eleven other months of the year listening to how bad we folks on the right are, but now you are treading on unchartered territory by violating the sanctity on that month of relative peace.

Shame on you Santa.
