Censorship Is Alive And Well

The reality of being on the Right.

Let’s talk about censorship just for a second. Censorship is defined as being, “the suppression or prohibition of any parts of books, films, news, etc. that are considered obscene, politically unacceptable, or a threat to security.”

You would think that in a country as great as the USA, whose citizens have the right to free speech except in a very small number of instances, we would even have to bring it up as a topic of discussion in 2020-2021. But, yes, once again we are confounded by the actions of the left. Almost five years ago, when Trump decided to use Twitter as a means of communication to combat the hatred being thrown out by the mainstream media, many on the left have been calling for him to be thrown off the platform because they didn’t like what he had to say.

Today, we see that President Trump has been taken off of Facebook and Twitter, supposedly for what he implied to his followers prior to riot at the capitol.

But are they the ones who should be making those types of decisions? Should they be the arbiters of what, if anything should be censored? Apparently, the left believes that this is the case. Throughout the campaign, it literally got to the point where anything you put on Facebook was blocked by “fact checkers.” Of course, these fact checkers were pretty much exclusively liberal, which meant that anything from the right, no matter how true, was shut down. As you can imagine, the copious number of lies floated by the left about Trump and his accomplishments went unchecked.

Is this where we have ended up as a country? Where the right gets held hostage by the left because they can’t take any type of criticism or the truth? Or what is without a doubt much worse, you disagree with them?

Can someone explain to me why you can’t disagree with the left? Why do they always, and I mean always, have to immediately go to the race card if anyone challenges them? You know why? Because they have no counter argument. They believe that if they yell “Racist” loud and long enough you will back down. And to tell you the truth, many people on the right will not even enter into a discussion with these SJW’s for fear of being called a racist.

It is a sad day in such a great country when a private corporation can disable the accounts of so many people in one political party. As previously discussed, this is where the real fascism is. It is in the minds of the social justice warriors who are so easily hurt because of “microaggressions” and supposedly aggressive speech.

In the last year we have truly seen the result of a group of adults who are a part of the “everyone gets a trophy” generation(s). They grew up in a time where everything was seen as offensive, unless of course it is coming from the left. If you are a Republican, no matter what you say or believe, you have now been dropped to the lowest rung of the social ladder. Why would you be a conservative?

I know someone who was a friend for over twenty years who actually referred to me as being sad because I didn’t support Biden. He said that he couldn’t understand how I could support “a man” like Trump. This is the problem we are facing today.

You should be able to disagree with people without the fear of reprisal and falling prey to the SJW’s.

Social outlets like Twitter and Facebook need to practice what they preach instead of pretending to allow “free speech.” Right now, it is only used as a tool by the left to gain power and silence the critics of an obviously demented old man and his grossly under qualified vice president.

So, does the right have any recourse to the left and the obvious censorship?

The quick and easy answer to that is, no.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it…
