It is a sad day in our country. I live in New York. I was born here, raised here, educated here and with the exception of the four years that I spent in the Marine Corps, I have continued to live here. I love New York. The hiking, backpacking and camping opportunities are second to none. Culturally, New York City has no equal when it comes to museums, concerts, zoos, restaurants and just general ambiance. It is a place that I used to like to visit. Not anymore.
Unfortunately, my beloved state, although almost always has been a liberal nightmare, is now moving in a direction where it is fast becoming the largest liberal wasteland in the country. Back in the late 70’s when I was starting high school, the city was a dumping ground for all of the human sludge that had nowhere else to go. Drugs, prostitution and crime were rampant throughout the five boroughs. Squeegee guys harassed you almost every stoplight.
Then came Rudy Guiliani. The city actually became a place that people actually wanted to visit. Streets were cleaned, the Bronx became habitable again and those squeegee guys literally disappeared overnight.
But let’s talk about 2018. Now we have de Blasio, Schumer, Cuomo and Gillebrand running New York. Each one is more progressive than the next. As they traipse through the libtard wasteland that is New York, all they do make themselves look foolish. Foolish on so many levels that they are a constant embarrassment to the country and state and will eventually turn New York into California.
Believe me, we are more than halfway there. As time marches on, we may as well put our heads between our legs and kiss our collective asses goodbye. But then again, it’s not like we aren’t already over taxed and treated like children by our politicians anyway.
If you are offended by this post or just don’t like what I have written…I don’t care.
